⚠️ 🕰️ Clocks Spring Forward Tonight!

Community

With clocks going ahead one hour after midnight tonight, it’s extremely important to check your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms when moving your clocks forward!!

Check expiration dates and replace them if required, change batteries and test them to ensure they are working!

Smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms do have expiration dates. Depending on the alarm they are only good for 5-10 years after their manufacturer date.

On many occasions, fire departments detect non-operational alarms and expired alarms at businesses and residential properties.

Smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms are the first signs that something is wrong.

Having working alarms in your home or business ultimately saves lives, prevents injuries and protects properties.
