Wildfire in West Dalhousie Information to date

Local News

Below is information on the West Dalhousie / Long Lake Wildfire in Annapolis County.

This first photo was taken around 8PM this evening by Ryan Ritchie while on a plane returning from Toronto.

This photo certainly shows the area on fire and the direction of the smoke which is traveling in a westerly direction this evening.

The fire appears to be burning between Long Lake and Godfrey Lake which hasn’t moved any closer to residential homes on West Dalhousie Road than what was reported previously.

Two emergency alerts have been issued – one evacuating West Dalhousie Road and another expanding the evacuation zone. These both remain in effect.
