Waterville & District Volunteer Firefighters responded to a house fire in Chipman Brook shortly before 2PM today.
Mutual aid was also dispatched from Kentville & Berwick fire departments to the scene.
On arrival there was a residential home fully involved along with a shed on the property. Due to how involved the fire was, some mutual aid was downgraded.
Crews spent a few hours on scene working to ensure the fire was out and no further hot spots were left.
Waterville Chief Johnstone, was able to confirm the home was not occupied at the time of the fire and was undergoing renovations.
There were no reported injuries as a result of the blaze. Johnstone added that the fire is being treated as undetermined but likely accidental.
Nova Scotia Power & Kings District RCMP also attended the scene.
