Do you have your civic sign?

Community

Civic signs in the Annapolis Valley, and across Nova Scotia continue to be a daily concern, as many homes and businesses do not presently have one displayed, or have one displayed improperly.

I began this project months ago, trying to get the message out to many, with hundreds of people taking the measures to ensure they had their civic sign!

When an emergency strikes, every second counts. Having a sign placed at the end of your driveway facing both directions can save lives.

Not only do first responders rely on civic signs, but so do carrier companies, nurses, and school bus drivers to name a few!

If you are in need of an updated civic sign or you don’t have one, you can visit your municipal website under the civic addressing section to locate suppliers.

Many local Lions Clubs sell civic signs and the information can be located on the website of your closest Lions Club.

I’ve worked in partnership with Coldbrook & District Lions civic sign maker, John Barrett, throughout this project as pictured below!

If you are looking to order a sign from the Coldbrook Lions, please be prepared to have your full name, phone #, civic #, indicate wether you need a double sided or one sided sign, and if you require a post.
