Annapolis District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Deep Brook.
On July 1, at approximately 1:35 p.m., Annapolis District RCMP, Bear River fire services and additional fire departments, EHS responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Hwy. 101 near Purdy Rd.
RCMP officers learned that a westbound Dodge Journey and an eastbound Honda motorcycle collided head on.
Additional fire departments were called as one vehicle had caught fire.
The motorcycle driver and passenger, a 64-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman from Bear River East, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the SUV, a 51-year-old man from Meteghan River, was transported to hospital by EHS LifeFlight with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene; the investigation is ongoing.
