Firefighters and numerous agencies have evacuated West Dalhousie Road due to explosive fire conditions this afternoon.
Crews were staged outside of the previous evacuation zone along Morse Road as extreme winds are fueling the fire which is currently moving quickly through West Dalhousie.
Structural protection measures were in place and it’s unknown the current fire conditions in West Dalhousie at this time.
Power supply in the immediate area has been disconnected prior to the expanded evacuation notice.
Smoke & ashes are billowing in communities at this hour and fire conditions are continuing to intensify.
Not the news anyone wants to hear, but this current condition is extreme and safety is priority for everyone involved.
