Annapolis District RCMP has charged a man with multiple offences in relation to a rash of robberies and break and enters in Middleton.
Between April 4 and 9, 2025, Annapolis District RCMP responded to seven robberies, break and enters and thefts at businesses, including a restaurant, motel and grocery, convenience and thrift stores.

On April 10, 2025, investigators charged Tyson Kevin Cecil Bishop, 19, of Annapolis County, with multiple offences in relation to the robbery at the grocery store, including Robbery, Disguise with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence, and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, among others. Bishop was remanded into custody at the time and remains in custody. The investigations into the other incidents continued.
In February, investigators charged Bishop with multiple offences in relation to the remaining six incidents. Those offences include Robbery, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Disguise with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence, and Assault Causing Bodily Harm, among others.
“I hope the successful conclusion of these investigations brings comfort to the community of Middleton and its residents,” says S/Sgt. Mike Maxwell, Commander, Annapolis District RCMP. “We appreciate the cooperation of the victims, witnesses and others who provided valuable input into the investigations.”
The investigations were supported by the Nova Scotia RCMP Forensic Identification Section, the Southwest Nova RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit and the Nova Scotia RCMP Police Dog Services.
