Support still needed for West Dalhousie evacuees

Community Highlights

Many evacuees have returned home after being evacuated by the wildfire in West Dalhousie.

The fire is being classified as “Being Held” but there are still many who are still displaced, haven’t been able to survey damages and are in the dark, waiting on the next steps.

I want to reassure all those who are still displaced that you are on my mind and I know how difficult this situation is for each and every one of you.

I’ve had the pleasure to speak with many of those who are impacted and understand some of the hurdles that are being faced while providing some insightful information.

The West Dalhousie Community Centre are still utilizing funds to help supply hot meals once a day while supporting their residents directly impacted.

If you are looking to support, the best way to do so is by sending a donation to the community centre directly.

You can do so by emailing: ➡️westdalhall@gmail.com

They are a registered charity, therefore, they are capable of issuing income tax deductible receipts.

If you aren’t able to send a donation, you are supporting by sharing this post around!
