More photos from ice formations in Port Williams

February 10, 2026February 24, 2026thevalleyeyephotography

It was quite remarkable to watch the ice chunks floating into Port Williams with the tide over the weekend.  While the water quickly rose, so did the plethora of ice formations, littering the basin with hundreds of unique pieces of ice.  More weather is on the way this week but on the plus side there […]

Chilly walk along the shore in Margaretsville

January 31, 2026January 31, 2026thevalleyeyephotography

It might have been a bit of a chilly walk along the shore in Margaretsville yesterday but capturing frozen scenery was certainly worth it!  I almost found walking along the shoreline was easier in the winter with everything being frozen.  My adventures in the summer don’t always end well with the slippery rocks and bent […]

Softwoods covered in snow in South Alton

January 5, 2026January 7, 2026thevalleyeyephotography

Just a few drone shots of the snow covering softwood trees along Highway 12 in South Alton today!  Milder temperatures are expected this week which will likely melt most of the snow off these softwoods in the coming days.  Adrian J.

History still stands in Windsor

December 21, 2025December 22, 2025thevalleyeyephotography

Reminiscence of the former Textile plant in Windsor still partially stands.  The mill was built in the 1800s, known for its core product of men’s, women’s, and children’s underwear, especially long underwear.  During peak production, the Textile plant employed hundreds of residents, being one of the largest employers in Hants County for decades until closing […]
