Wildfire smoke continues to blanket the Annapolis Valley

Smoke from the Long Lake Wildfire in West Dalhousie is blanketing much of the Annapolis Valley this morning.

Strong smells of smoke are very distinct as you wake up today. 

The fire broke out on the evening of August 13th, with today marking 17 days since the fire was reported.

Many firefighters, heavy equipment and forestry operators, agencies and pilots are working to contain the estimated 8,234 hectare wildfire, that continues to burn out of control.
