It was another successful year while whale watching off of Freeport in Digby County yesterday.
We embarked shortly after 930AM on the Hannah Rose, treading along while the tide was going out!
There was no shortage of activity off of the coast, with numerous sightings of humpback whales.
We got lucky a few times, with the unexpected presence under the boat! The water was clear enough for us to be able to spot them before they surfaced for air.
Not only did we have good luck, but many of the whale tours also had the same encounters, making the experience for many who flock to the neck, a memorable one.
Attached are some photos from yesterday’s trip on the Hannah Rose!
Special thank you to Kendra & Dean for the annual whale watching trip, it’s always a great experience, taking a break from reality and enjoying marine life up close.
