Earlier today, Aylesford & District Firefighters responded to a report of a pickup truck on fire in Aylesford Mountain.
Prior to the fire departments arrival, the owner made attempts to put the fire out with a garden hose. These were unsuccessful due to the fire load.
There was a trailer attached which was disconnected before the truck became overwhelmed with fire.
Thankfully there were no immediate exposures and the truck was located in a sandy area away for any grass or woods.
Firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze for a short time before clearing.
There were no reported injuries as a result.
