There is over 1,000 lightning strikes being recorded across Nova Scotia & Prince Edward Island at this hour.
Many areas have experienced some heavy rainfall and lightning in NS on Thursday, which has persisted through the overnight hours into Friday.
This raises concerns with the current dry conditions across Nova Scotia and the potential of new wildfires breaking out.
Some lightning strikes are also being detected in Kings & Annapolis Counties at this hour as well.
