Radio communications were poor initially but thanks to comms staff, smooth sailing here on out, while also providing coverage for getting messages in and out with 0 cellphone reception without boosters.

They’ve been grateful for assistance from Berwick, Kingston, Springfield & Waterville Fire over the past few days and additional firefighters from other Kings County departments will be assisting with efforts all day today approximately 8-13kms back on the fire roads.

This work is extremely tasking, hard on the body, which makes for some long and exhausting days far into the woods.

Thank you to all those VOLUNTEER firefighters who continue to help DNR extinguish these fires while other pressing fires are ongoing.
