Kings District RCMP responded to a report of a barricaded person at a residence in a rural area outside of Aylesford yesterday.
Corporal Carlie McCann, Public Information Officer with the Nova Scotia RCMP, confirmed by email that general duty officers as well as members of support units including RCMP Police Dog Services and Nova Scotia RCMP Emergency Response Team attended.
EHS Paramedics, Aylesford and Berwick Fire also attended on standby.
After some time, the person left the home and was safely taken into custody by RCMP officers.
There was no risk to the public. Police are not anticipating charges.
