MEDIA RELEASE via Kentville Police:
In October 2025, the Kentville Police Service began an investigation into cocaine trafficking in the downtown Kentville area. As a result of this investigation, on October 23, 2025, Kentville Police, assisted by Bridgewater Police Service dog services and the Integrated Street Crimes Enforcement Unit, arrested a male and executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant in the Town of Kentville. Police seized a quantity of cocaine, cash, an electronic weigh scale, two replica firearms, and other evidence of trafficking.
Sylvesson Byers, age 23, of Kentville has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and will appear in Kentville Provincial Court on December 30, 2025.
