🚗🔒 Hey Kingston, vehicle thefts in your area are up 26% so far this year, with a noticeable spike in November. In most of these cases, keys were left in the vehicles. We’ve also seen vehicle thefts at gas stations where vehicles were left running.
Consider the following tips to help protect your vehicle (and your neighbours’):
🔐 Lock your vehicle doors and close windows, even in your driveway
🗝️ Take your keys/fob and don’t leave spares inside your vehicle
⏳ Never leave your vehicle running unattended (even “just for a minute”)
💼 Remove valuables from your vehicle and keep garage doors secured
🛡️ Secure ATVs and consider an anti-theft device (wheel lock/immobilizer)
