History still stands in Windsor

Reminiscence of the former Textile plant in Windsor still partially stands.

The mill was built in the 1800s, known for its core product of men’s, women’s, and children’s underwear, especially long underwear.

During peak production, the Textile plant employed hundreds of residents, being one of the largest employers in Hants County for decades until closing in the early 2000s.

While its already half demolished, smashed out glass, open space and bricked walls are all that remain of this historic building, until future plans for what sounds like development will soon occupy it’s place.

I snapped this photo late this afternoon after the sun peaked from the clouds following some rain.
