The Waterville Michelin Plant is well known for employing thousands of residents across the Annapolis Valley!
Last week and over the next couple of weeks, members with the Michelin Emergency Response Team (M.E.R.T.) are working to refresh their skills while gaining experience in live fire training.
Michelin, categorized as a large industrial facility, has its own internal response system, which is meant to quickly respond to incidents, such as industrial fires, hazmat incidents, medicals and or entrapments, that could occur on-site.
Everyday there are trained and qualified M.E.R.T. members that are ready to respond at a moments notice, throughout the facility.
Members with the Waterville & District Volunteer Fire Department, were also invited to work alongside M.E.R.T. last week.
