Captured an Osprey couple in action in Annapolis County late this afternoon!

Osprey are well known for feeding mostly on live fish, diving deep into the water in order to capture their catch.

They have specialized oily feathers that protect them when diving deep into the water!

They also have reversible outer toes that allow them to hold prey, with two toes facing forward and two facing backward for a stronger grip when transporting their prey.

Very beautiful creatures to see in action.
