My father and I got up shortly after 4AM to soak in the longest period of sunlight of 2026.
The summer solstice happens when the sun reaches its most northern point in the sky, giving us here in Kings County roughly 15 hours and 33 minutes of sunlight!
It also marks the first day of summer and Father’s Day!
Despite the lack of beautiful colours in the sky, it was a calm and peaceful morning enjoying the morning with Dad!
