Heat in farmers favour

Community

The heat we’re experiencing isn’t for everyone but in order to cut and produce hay, this is the kind of weather farmers need!

I had the pleasure of meeting Richard and his father this afternoon, just outside Halls Harbour while they were cutting one of their fields.

Hoping the weather will cooperate, this field of freshly cut grass will soon be scattered with over 1,000 square bales of hay.

Haying is a very lengthy process and in some cases, a complicated process, it requires math, heat, good weather and a lot of work!
