This week, firefighters from Kings and Annapolis County took part in some valuable experience, utilizing Nova Scotia’s new provincial Mobile Burn Unit in Kingston.
Members from the Kingston, Middleton & Nictaux fire departments were all able to get hands-on experience, in a safe and controlled setting.
This valuable training provides firefighters with a first look and feel at the behaviour of fire, including different types of fires that they may encounter while using an array of techniques.
The new provincial burn unit is being run by RelyOn Canada through the provincial government. The unit is a tool available to fire departments across Nova Scotia free of charge.
Great work by all departments involved.
Attached a few photos from one of the evening sessions earlier this week.
