Earlier this evening, Kingston Firefighters responded to an illegal burn in Meadowvale.
Crews attended and put out a fire along with the presence of RCMP.
Between the months of March and October, Nova Scotians are expected to follow burn regulations and municipal bylaws when burning.
Over the past few weeks, with dry conditions and little to no rain, the burn map has been quite colourful.
Firefighters across Nova Scotia have been dispatched for numerous nuisance complaints due to illegal burns.
Everyday the burn map is updated at 2PM and there is no burning permitted regardless between the hours of 8AM-2PM daily.
Municipal and Town bylaws may play a factor if you are even permitted to burn in your area.
The result in violating daily burn restrictions can cost you a $25,000 fine.
There have been reports of numerous violations this summer with some violators being slapped with a heavy $25,000 fine.
