Firefighters are back on the ground in Lake George this morning, the fire is classified as “Being Held.”
Smoke is drifting across Aylesford Road in some areas as the fire continues to burn this morning.
Drifting smoke may be impacting residents across the South Mountain towards Lake George direction and smoke can be smelled from various locations in the valley.
Crews are shuttling water via tankers to the fire grounds which are located in a remote area off Aylesford Road on a fire road.
One helicopter and four 802 water bombers made great work yesterday from the air.
Firefighters are on foot, fighting the fire with hand lines this morning.
Per DNR this morning the fire is estimated at 2 hectares, there are no structures at risk and crews continue to make good progress.
