There is an out of control wildfire burning overnight tonight between Perotte and Graywood in Annapolis County.
Fire crews were alerted of the potential fire late in the day yesterday and located the fire before dusk.
The glow can be scene from Annapolis Royal early this morning. The fire appears to be burning close to West Stoney Lake and Highway 8 just outside Graywood.
It is in a remote area and located in a more elevated area per satellite maps. This could be providing it more of a glow with the higher altitude.
Fire crews and aircraft are anticipated to begin working the fire first thing this morning.
There doesn’t appear to be any homes threatened at this time. Further updates will be provided when and if those become available.
Many residents have reported smoke in the area as the fire continues to burn out of control.
