Annapolis District RCMP is investigating multiple crashes involving the same vehicle that resulted in serious injuries to the driver.
On August 16 shortly after midnight, Annapolis District RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a several reports of a vehicle involved in a hit and run incident in Middleton and a separate crash in Nictaux.
Investigators learned that the white Honda Civic hit a parked car and a garage in Middleton. Several minutes later, the same vehicle was observed driving at a high speed in a residential neighbourhood in Nictaux. The Civic then came to a stop after hitting a tree at Nictaux Rd. and Hwy. 201. The vehicle had extensive damage and the bumper of the car was located on Main St. in Middleton.
The driver, a 24-year-old Spa Springs man who was the only occupant of the vehicle, had serious injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS. There were no injuries reported by bystanders associated to the garage or the parked vehicle.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the location of the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
