In late 2018 when I decided to purchase a camera, I never anticipated I’d grow this far, not just with my photography skills, but my writing and story telling.
I’ve had the privilege to cover many different types of subjects across the Annapolis Valley over the years, gaining the trust of many through the current platform that undoubtedly consumes my everyday life.
Looking back on some of my old posts, I’ve certainly come a long way. I’ve improved my approach and covered a lot in my “Valley Eye” time.
I personally believe that the reason I’m successful is because of the unique touch in the way I share local information from the Annapolis Valley and the support from my friends, family, and those who follow.
I’ve never taken a degree for any of the work I do on this page, and for those who might tell you that you can’t be successful without post secondary education, they are wrong.
This page has opened many doors for me personally. I’ve had a plethora of opportunities come my way that many don’t see behind the scenes.
All the work done on this page is strictly volunteer, which means the stories, photos, and time put in are just a hobby that I take quite seriously.
When you soak your life into something you’re passionate about, you can be successful.
I think that’s worth sharing with anyone who might be on the fence about doing something they might be second guessing. If you have the drive and passion, anything is possible.
Everyday my brain comes up with different ideas and expectations that just don’t seem possible, but somehow they always work out.
Even now, I have multiple projects on the go that need to be completed and I know they will get done in due time.
I’ve had many hurdles over the years, negative experiences, and learning curves, but when you look back, it’s all been worth it.
My grandfather played a huge part in paving this journey for me. Stuart was very well known in our community for his sports and breaking news reports before he passed in May of 2015.
I know that he would be more the proud of the work I’ve done, while following in his very foot steps.
Have a great weekend!
