Department of Natural Resources & Renewables along with a helicopter were working a woods fire in a remote area outside Nictaux West today.
Per the Nova Scotia Wildfire Viewer the fire is 0.50 hectares in size and the fire is currently being held at this time.
I had numerous messages filter in today about helicopters and DNRR vehicles coding through the county of Annapolis, I hope this clarifies some folks concerns.
Great work by all DNRR staff!
Again the fire is being held, I suspect DNRR will be following up with how conditions are currently.
