Firefighters in Annapolis & Kings County have been extremely busy this afternoon contending with numerous fires in our communities.
Canning Fire with mutual aid from Port Williams, Greenwich & Kentville responded to this straw field on fire in Canard around 3PM.
This aerial view taken from afar shows the impressive work by the local farmers who made a perimeter around the fire with farming equipment.
When the call originally came in the fire was reported to be rapidly spreading towards structures.

Fire crews remain on scene working on hot spots at this hour.
