Many residents across the Annapolis Valley may be experiencing the smell of smoke or smoke in their areas due to the wildfire in West Dalhousie.
The Long Lake wildfire is still “Being held” at an estimated 8,468 hectares. Crews continue to work on hot spots that pop up due to the dry conditions.
Resources available today include 3 helicopters, 4 planes and a bird dog, 5 pieces of heavy equipment and 5 water tankers.
Firefighters on site: 8 DNR, 20 Parks Canada, 5 PEI, plus support staff.
