⚠️ Update: The Lake George Wildfire was previously estimated at 300 hectares, since smoke conditions have improved DNR is now estimating the fire at 150 hectares and continues to burn uncontrollably per Department of Natural Resources.
I’ve been without service most of the day and I’ve been out of the loop.
DNR held a press briefing this afternoon advising the fire was re-estimated as smoke conditions were likely over estimating the fire yesterday.
Approximately 275 homes and cottages have been evacuated.
No official reports of damaged structures at this time.
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time but presumed to be a result of human activity.
