After long month man hunt – man finally arrested by RCMP

Joel Matthew Gibson, wanted on a province-wide warrant, has been arrested.

The 44-year-old man from Windemere is facing multiple charges, including:

• Assault

• Uttering Threats (three counts)

• Unlawful Confinement

• Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose (five counts)

• Unauthorized Possession of Firearm (three counts)

• Possession of Weapon Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized (three counts)

• Possession of Firearm While Prohibited (seven counts)

• Careless Use of Firearm (three counts)

• Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition (loaded)

• Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition (accessible) 

• Breach of Probation (two counts)

• Fail to Comply with Release Order (two counts)

• Mischief

• Obstruction

Gibson will appear in Kentville Provincial Court on December 5.
