Earlier this week I posted a survey asking followers how the prices at the pumps were impacting them.Â
In total, 1301 different people weighed in, sharing their opinions about the rise in prices across the province.Â
🟢 464 people voted that their habits haven’t changed and they continue to drive.Â
🔵 393 people felt the price of fuel at the pumps stresses them out.Â
đźź 389 people have reduced their driving following the spike at the pumps.Â
đź”´ 55 people stated that they don’t drive.Â
Other followers shared, they drive electric or hybrid vehicles and the increase cost of fuel doesn’t overly impact their decisions to drive more or less.Â
Concerns were shared about the cost in gas and diesel and how this will impact the operations on smaller businesses.Â
Other people even shared they’ve considered selling their diesel vehicles with prices well over $2 a litre to fill and the uncertainty of when it will go down.Â
The rise in prices are being blamed on the war against Iran by the United States and Israel. There is no indication whether or not the price of fuel will continue to rise or shuffle down but its continued rise is projected until the war is over.Â
This could also be the beginning, with increased costs for fuel putting strains on food supply, truckers, and the economy as a whole.Â
Thank you to all those who voted and shared their opinions on the rising cost of fuel.Â
