Annapolis District RCMP continue to search for a missing man, following ice fishing incident in the Belleisle area.

Two men, aged 77 and 73 went missing while they were ice fishing along the Annapolis River near Little Brook Lane in early March.
The incident, which was reported to the RCMP on Tuesday, March 10th around 1130PM, sparked a multi-agency search effort.
In the overnight hours, the Cormorant from CFB Greenwood searched the Annapolis River in attempts to locate the two men.
Once daylight broke resources from local fire departments, search and rescue crews, aircraft and further resources were brought in.
One man aged 77, was later found deceased on Wednesday, March 11th during difficult conditions along the Annapolis River.
Dozens of fire departments boats patrolled the water, working between ice and debris, to help locate the remaining missing man.
RCMP’s underwater recovery team was also later engaged to search the river using side-scan sonar but the search did not result in significant findings.
Despite all the efforts, one man still hasn’t been found.
RCMP were able to confirm by email today that they plan to conduct an aerial search in the coming days, as conditions allow. The goal is to identify any potential areas of interest that could then be followed up with targeted ground search efforts.
Our thoughts remain with the families and first responders involved with the incident.
RCMP continue to urge the public to stay off the ice.
