RCMP safely arrest man in relation to Annapolis County shooting
Earlier this morning, Annapolis District RCMP responded to a shooting incident in South Farmington, Annapolis County.
Reports suggest EHS Lifeflight and EHS Paramedics were involved but details are unknown at this time.
The incident sparked a significant response from RCMP members, in attempts to locate a fleeing suspect and vehicle described to be a grey Mazda 3 with front-end damage.
Its last known whereabouts were in New Minas, where the RCMP were requesting assistance from the public in order to locate the suspect and vehicle involved.
Shortly before noon an emergency alert was issued for a dangerous man with a weapon behind the Sunnyside Mall in Bedford, Halifax County.
Sometime later the suspect was taken into custody where Nova Scotia RCMP Emergency Response Team members and the suspect emerged from a wooded area in Bedford.
No further information in regards to the incident has been shared at this time.
