911 service has been restored and is operating normally.
Nova Scotians can now resume using 911 as their primary emergency contact number for immediate police, fire or medical assistance.
The intermittent outages earlier today affected some wireless and VoIP users and were linked to telecommunications network issues. Emergency officials worked closely with telecommunications providers and Public Safety Answering Points throughout the disruption to monitor the situation and ensure alternative contact methods were available.
