Boar’s Head Lighthouse, located in Tiverton visible from East Ferry, is one of the first noticeable features before you get on the Ferry to head over to Long Island!
This unique lighthouse was registered as a Heritage site in 2018, with its first lighthouse being erected on the property in 1863.
During its 124 years in operation, Boar’s Head, only had 4 lighthouse keepers. The current lighthouse on the property was constructed in 1957.
The lighthouse was recently restored, giving it a deserving face lift for a busy summer season.
Many are welcome to visit the site, known for the rocky landscape and beautiful view looking over the Petit Passage and the Bay of Fundy.
