Dozens of volunteer fire departments across Kings County and much of the province have been battling grass, brush and woods fires since early this afternoon.
Many fires have been a result of burning even with burning restrictions being permitted today.
Department of Natural Resources has also been engaged assisting where fires have spread into the woods.
Thank you to all the volunteers who have worked to contain dozens of fires in the Annapolis Valley today.
