Yesterday evening at around 530PM, Kentville Firefighters were dispatched to a report of a garage on fire in Kentville.
The first due officer arrived on scene to a fully involved single story garage on fire with exposures.
Automatic mutual aid was dispatched from New Minas, Waterville & Port Williams Fire Departments with some mutual aid standing down a short time later.
Firefighters arrived on scene, making quick work to protect an immediate residential home.
Nova Scotia Power also attended the scene and Chester Ave was shut down to all traffic while firefighters worked to extinguish the fire.
Deputy Chief Ian Fairclough of the Kentville Fire Department confirmed the fire is currently under investigation by the Kentville Police Service and there were no reported injuries.
