On May 22, 2026, members of the Kentville Police Service arrested a man in the downtown core of Kentville in relation to an ongoing investigation into methamphetamine trafficking. KPS was assisted by the Criminal Intelligence Service of Nova Scotia. Police seized a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, cash, mobile electronic devices and other evidence of trafficking. The street value of the suspected methamphetamine is up to $850.00 and represents over 80 individual doses.
Alexander James Kenneth TAYLOR-FREDERICKS, age 26, of Canaan, is charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime under $5000, and failing to comply with a probation order. TAYLOR-FREDERICKS was remanded into custody for a court appearance on May 25, 2026.
