Many residents have been able to return to their homes today, who were previously evacuated.
I know so many are still anxiously waiting to go home, while there are dozens who will not have a place to go.
On the afternoon of August 24th, I stood on this very shoreline in Trout Lake, feeling the heat from the wind and the smoke that took over the entire area.
It’s touching to hear many who have returned and are back home, expecially from the residents in Trout Lake who I met just over a week ago.
It’s been a very tense time.
I truly feel for each and every resident impacted by this devastating fire, that broke out 22 days ago today.
