Over the past four plus years, I’ve been blessed to be part of many amazing and tragic events across our beautiful Annapolis Valley while sharing them on this page.
From covering breaking news, local businesses, behind the scene stories, and the inside working of emergency services, it’s been an experience that I never imagined when picking up a camera in 2018.
In May, my page surpassed 40,000 followers, an accomplishment I’m proud and grateful of.
With many sleepless nights, stress, and anxiety it’s, been a hurdle, but most importantly the plethora of friends I’ve made along the way and impacts I’ve made are what keeps me going.
Many of you know that this page is run primarily by myself, with help from friends with editing of posts, proofreading, and sharing ideas back and forth.
A few months back I reached out to one of my fellow firefighters who has acquired a unique talent in wood working.
I pitched the idea that I’d like to give away a homemade picture frame with one of the fox photos I snapped in the spring and off we went!
Burt Benjamin with Back Roads & Beaches hand made this beautiful frame. Made from rough sawn locally milled hemlock and then treated to a rustic weathered finish.
I was able to witness the progress with getting this frame together. The amount of work and detail that goes into something like this takes an art.
I enjoy being able to support someone else who has the some passion but from another perspective. Please feel free to check out Burt’s page and the work he does!
This particular fox photo was taken just outside of South Berwick in early spring of a mother fox and her 6 kits while they were nursing.
