Today, Annapolis Valley First Nation honours Red Dress Day, a National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People.
We remember those who are missing, those whose lives were taken, and the families and communities who continue to carry their stories.
Each red dress is a powerful symbol of loss, resilience, and the urgent need for justice.
We stand together in remembrance, in love, and in commitment to ending violence against Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people.
