Traffic stop leads to trafficking charges in Kentville

On July 9, 2026, members of the Kentville Police Service conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle without a license plate. Police learned that the driver was bound by a court order to remain in their residence at all times. During the arrest, police seized a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, cash, scales, and electronic communication devices. The street value of the suspected methamphetamine is up to $8,000. 

Christopher James ROUSE, age 52, of Paradise, is charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and three counts of failing to comply with release order. ROUSE was held in custody by police and is appearing in Kentville Provincial Court on July 10, 2026.
