Thunderstorms swarmed the valley, bringing down heavy rain and damaging infrastructure across our region.

Areas seen over 100mm of rain in less then a few hours, overpowering many ditches, rivers and waterways.

Emergency services scrambled, responding to a number of flooding related incidents that were putting residents at risk.

Tragically, one boy was killed when he was overpowered by flooding waters in Wolfville.

The community rallied together in support of the family of the late Eli Young, starting a memorial and Go Fund Me Page.

These incidents remind us of how dangerous flooding can be and how quickly weather events can cause serious damage.
We think of all those who are still impacted by these floods two years ago.
