Some photos sent in from the Lake George Wildfire today.
“Flying over the valley today, I watched smoke rising in waves and flames flickering through the trees. It was breathtaking and heartbreaking all at once—a stark reminder of how fragile and precious our Nova Scotia is,” Shared Anne d’Entremont, who was flying over in an Air Canada flight and a resident of Yarmouth.
Wind conditions have changed since these photos were taken, but certainly shows the extent of the situation that’s unfolding in our community, that has forced hundreds of cottages and homes to be placed under a mandatory evacuation.
