Tedding or better known as shaking grass is a key part to the production of making hay!

The rakes on the machines flip the mowed forage across the field, allowing the grass to dry out quicker.

In order to produce hay, the grass needs to be flipped to prevent any moisture or mildew.

Once this process is complete and the grass meets that threshold, farmers attach their balers and turn cut grass into hay, eventually transporting it back to their farms!

These photos were taken Thursday and Friday along Brooklyn Street in Somerset.
