Aylesford Firefighters were busy yesterday evening contending with two separate fires in their district.
Shortly after 6PM, firefighters were dispatched to a report of a commercial vehicle on fire in Aylesford East.
Firefighters made quick work knocking the fire down and cleared the scene a short time later. There were no reported injuries as a result.
Later in the evening, shortly before 7PM, Aylesford Firefighters were dispatched to a camper trailer on fire in Auburn.
Mutual aid protocols were activated, bringing in mutual aid from Kingston and Berwick, but they were later stood down.
Firefighters arrived on scene to a fully involved camper trailer, spending a few hours on scene extinguishing the blaze.
There were no reported injuries as a result of the incident.
The fire is being treated as undetermined at this time. Kings District RCMP also attended and are assisting with the investigation, stated Aylesford Chief Shawn Carey.
